Oh, WOE is MEOh, WOE is ME!!! (the sestina)   
Sometimes life  is just a big  unremovable stain  on the pants.  (Which you can’t scrub off  no matter how hard you try.”)   
Which is also why I don’t bother to try  ‘Cause I’m wasting my life  anyways. I could get off  at the next city…but it’s too big!  Someone might notice my dirty pants!  (Lucky I have a sweater to hide the stain.)

Rainy Day Cashyou are my rainy day cash,  i love the way you snuggle  on my lap; my little gray  cat. the flowers on my porch  are yellow; outside it is raining.  what a perfect day to cry,   
to weep, to laugh and to cry  some more. my purse is void of cash…  my heart feels like it is raining  depression…let me snuggle  upon the pillows, gazing at the empty porch.  if i were not so gray,

xdrowningxlessonsx NEWS: New Leadership

Our founder McAdam, has sadly been inactive since around september of last year... As the only staff member I think it only fitting to step up and assume leadership of our club. As new leader I promise a renewed effort to keeping the club up to date, and new contests in the future. I have asked a few of you to step up and help out with the workload, and soon the club will be up and fully active. Thank you for your patience and submittions, without which there would be no club.

Contests:
A date has been set for the poetry contest: all submissions should be in by March 10th, the subject may vary, but the theme is winter, (metephorical, or literal). Please send a note either to xdrowningxlessonsx, or damain with a link to the submission. Thanks and have fun!

Valentines Day:
As you all know, Valentines Day is only four days away... although I decided not to make it a contest theme, face it: im sure that there will be enough love poems this year for valentimes day without us adding to it, but that doesnt mean that they arent perfectly welcome submissions to our wonderful club. So write your sweetheart something heartfelt -- then post it here!

In relpy to this, no, we're not targeting any specific audience although at first i wanted to start a group up for humour poetry i realised there wasnt enough on here. Just another alternative for the poets of DA!

Just out of interest, what is it that will make this group better than the other poetry groups? - will you be focusing on a specific type of poetry, a particular subject perhaps, or something of that type?

If so, it might be worth putting something in your Journal relating to that.
